Junior Vice President Vicky North opened the Oct. 19 auxiliary meeting with six officers and one member
present.
The Ohio Veterans Home wrote to announce the annual Soup & Bread Luncheon is Dec. 1 from 11
a.m.-1 p.m. at the Sandusky American Legion. All are welcome. The national commander and president will
visit this area on Nov. 29 at Post 2898 in Toledo. The post will be serving breakfast. Honor Flight sent
thanks for Ladd auxiliary’s donation in honor of Skeeter Drain.
On Nov. 7 Wood County will hold their Veterans Day program in the atrium of the courthouse. The post
Veterans Day potluck is on Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. Wayne Crane will be the speaker. Auxiliary members will
receive their continuous year pins. Poppies will be available during November at the canteen.
Hospital: Cards were sent to Trella Long and Mercene Hanneman.
Membership: Kaylee Lemmon took her obligation in September. Two more dues were paid.
There was discussion about having the soup and sandwich lunches again on Saturdays during the holidays.
Evie Kinstle will be in charge of signing people up to cook. Post and auxiliary would share the profits.

Elections were held.Freda Ramos was elected junior vice president and North, senior vice president.
Margaret Ann Dosier is running for council member area D. Kathy Oldham moved that the auxiliary sponsor
three veterans for the Soup & Bread Luncheon. Donations to Operation Uplink, Special Olympics,
WC Olympics, and USO will be made.
The next meeting will be district inspection on Nov. 16. Some vegetable soup is left and the post is
donating the ham. Members may bring a dish if they wish.
