Veterans served breakfast Sunday
TONTOGANY – Sons of American Legion Squad 441 will hold a Pre-Veterans Day breakfast Sunday at the
Tontogany American Legion Post.
The breakfast is free for any veteran and spouse. A donation will be accepted from all others.
Serving is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The menu is breakfast ham, pancakes, scrambled eggs, potatoes, juice and
coffee.
Snow Ball is Friday night
The Wood County District Public Library Foundation is throwing a Snow Ball Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at
the Wood County District Public Library, 251 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
Children are invited to make a snow man, meet Snow White and learn about the latest in snowboarding gear.

Everyone is invited to this free evening of stories, music, crafts, snacks, and fun for the whole family.
Those attending are encouraged to come dressed for the occasion as snowmen, skaters, hockey players, or
in their favorite seasonal costume. And they should bring their cameras to capture the fun.
Traffic slowed along Rt. 795
The Ohio Department of Transportation has advised motorists to expect intermittent lane restrictions at
various intersections along Ohio 795 including the Interstate 75 north and southbound ramps, Crossroads
Parkway, Clark Street, Lime City Road, Glenwood Road, Oregon Road, Tracy Road, and Cummings Road.
Signal upgrades and installation will be under way through November.
Veterans Day observed Sat. in Bowling Green
Bowling Green’s Veterans Day Service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Wood County Courthouse Atrium.
The address will be given by Stewart T. Orr, retired major in the U.S. Army Reserve.
David Ridenour will be the master of ceremonies and Pastor John Randall will give the benediction and
invocation.
Robert K. Vincent will be the soloist.
Folding the American Flag reading will be given by Terry Brown, with John Winters and Art Akeman folding
the flag.
A salute to veterans will be provided by the 14th Ohio Volunteer Infantry/3rd Arkansas Regiment.
Taps will be played by Terry Brown.
Baked steak Sat. at Bradner A.L.
BRADNER – A baked steak dinner will be served Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Bradner American
Legion.
The cost is $6 for baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and homemade pie. Carryouts will
be available.
