PERRYSBURG — All three incumbents in the race for city council prevented an upset at the ballot box.
Maria Ermie accrued the most votes in Tuesday’s city election with 29 percent, followed by Mike Olmstead
with 27 percent and Joe Lawless with 26 percent. Stephen Long collected 18 percent of ballots cast
during his first run for office.
Mayor Nelson Evans, who was unopposed, was elected to another term.
And roughly 70 percent of voters supported a 1-mill recycling levy.
