Cody King, of Wayne, was named Student of the Month for September at Elmwood High School. He’s the son of
Brian and Joanna King.
He has a 4.0 gpa and is vice president of National Honor Society, captain of the golf team, and
three-year letterman in baseball. He participates in bowling, Spanish club, and FFA.
King plans to attend medical school.
Bowling Green High School
The Bowling Green Exchange Club and Bowling Green High School named Rachael Gutknecht their October
Student of the Month. A senior, she is the daughter of Gary and Rebecca Gutknecht.
Her memberships include National Honor Society, FFA, key club, Letters to Soldiers club, Dance Marathon,
Spanish and German clubs, women’s chorus and science club.
Outside school, Gutknecht works at Wood County Hospital as a student aide, is a woodworker at G&B
Wood Creations, and volunteers at her church and the BG Pregnancy Center.
She plans to attend Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa, and major in biblical studies and nursing.
