Ruth M. Richardson, 85, of Bowling Green, Ohio, formerly of McClure, Ohio died Friday, October 30, 2009
at the Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green, Ohio.
She was born April 24, 1924 in McClure, Ohio to the late Leroy & Grace (McMaster) Spangler. On
December 25, 1948, she married Edwin C. Richardson, who preceded her in death on December 2, 1961.
Ruth worked at Shepard’s Market in McClure for several years and also was a custodian at B.G.S.U.
She was a member of Village View Church of Christ in Bowling Green and the American Legion Women’s
Auxiliary in McClure.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda St. Arnaud of Bowling Green; daughter-in-law Renee Richardson, Lewis
Center, Ohio; grandchildren, Benjamin Richardson and Rachel Richardson; stepgrandchildren, Tammy (David)
Hardy, Todd (Jenny) St. Arnaud; stepgreat-grandchildren, Meagan, Olivia, Faith, and Eric Hardy.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Donald Richardson, and an infant son; son-in-law, Terry St.
Arnaud; brothers, Homer, Clifford, and Donald Spangler; and sisters, Edna Shufelt, Beatrice and Margene
Shepard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Rodenberger Funeral Home in McClure with
Pastor David Boswell officiating. Interment will follow at the Hockman Cemetery in McClure.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Rodenberger Funeral
Home in McClure.
The family suggest memorials to the Village View Church of Christ, Wood County Humane Society, or a
charity of the donor’s choice.
