Shoppers are invited to begin their holiday season at the Wood County Hospital Guild Gift Shop annual
Holiday Sale.
This year’s event runs Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the hospital
meeting rooms, 950 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green.
This sale is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the guild. All profits from the event will go toward
supporting the new Women’s Center at the hospital.
The festive room will be packed with inspirations for holiday décor and gift giving. For the home,
holiday wall hangings will brighten the walls while evergreen wreaths make a welcoming statement for the
front door.
Visit the sale for holiday decorating needs. For a whimsical look, Santas of all sizes and shapes mingle
with snowmen who stand, sit and hang.
For the women on your list, browse the collection of jewelry, purses, night shirts and slippers.
Ideal gifts for children include sports throws, laughing animals, sock monkeys, and bears that can be
warmed in the microwave.
Collectible dolls are featured this year, with styles ranging from Victorian to modern.
Specialty items for everyday use in the kitchen make useful and practical gifts for the cook or
homemaker. An assortment of kitchen tools will be arrayed with holiday potholders and cookbooks to tempt
the visitor.
The perennially popular bake sale will include homemade breads, cookies, pies, jams, carmel corn and
candy. Dietsch’s chocolates and candies are a regular feature in the gift shop. Mixes for dips and
cheese balls will be available to make holiday entertaining easy.
The hospital cafeteria is open for lunch and supper. Parking is available at the rear of the hospital and
a circulating shuttle bus will take visitors to the door.
