Student of the Month: Allison Hedges

TONTOGANY – Allison Hedges was named the September Student of the Month at Otsego High School.
The senior is the daughter of Larry and Jennifer Hedges.
She has a 3.1 grade point average, and has participated in varsity basketball, student council, book and
media club, and women’s choir. Hedges also has played golf for the Knights.
She plans to attend college to study early childhood education.
The school also each month honors three undergraduate students. For September, the honorees were junior
Scott Kujawa, sophomore Ryan Johnson, and freshman J’laia Fitzgerald.
Kujawa, of Grand Rapids, is the son of Mike Kujawa and Kelly Leake. He participates in FFA, and plans to
attend Owens Community College.
Johnson is the son of Chris and Jerae Johnson, McClure. He participates in Otsego FFA and trapshooting,
and is a seven-year member of Country Kids 4-H club. Additional activities include Henry County 4-H
Junior Leadership and Junior Fair Board, Pheasants Forever and Ohio Pullers.
Fitzgerald, of rural Bowling Green, was a member of student council in junior high, and also competed in
eighth-grade track.
