BG Schools plan auction at junior high

The Bowling Green Board of Education has set Nov. 18 for an auction of property at the former junior high
school on East Wooster Street. Wilson Auction & Realty will conduct the sale of excess
equipment.
“We’re not going to get rich over it,” Superintendent Hugh Caumartin said about the sale of items
remaining in the building.
The district will continue to minimally heat the building this winter to keep pipes from bursting, but
otherwise the school will be mothballed, Caumartin said. No serious inquiries have been made on the
building except from the city, which had been looking for a new site for administrative services. That
search has been put on hold due to financial concerns.
