We endorse Ellen Scholl for a second term on the board of education for the Bowling Green Area School
District.
Ellen has been involved with the schools for many years. She served as president of the Conneaut
Parent/Teacher Organization and was a key member of the team composed of representatives from the
community and personnel from the schools to identify needs for the district. In 2006 Ellen began her
first term as a board member and has brought her professional expertise, interpersonal skills, and
experience to the board in its decision-making processes. In addition, she instrumental in researching
model performing arts centers in other cities as the new middle school was being designed and
constructed. She also served as president of the board during her first term.
During Ellen’s term on the board, the district was given the highest rating possible, excellent with
distinction by the state’s department of education. Also during her term, the district acquired a
building and land for the maintenance/repair of transportation vehicles and storage of supplies without
additional property taxes. This building has helped the personnel of the district do their work more
efficiently, effectively and safely.
We are indeed fortunate to be part of a community which has people like Ellen who are dedicated, talented
and committed to serving our schools.
We urge you to join us in voting for Scholl so she can continue to be a productive member of the school
