Skate in costume at ice arena
The Bowling Green State University Ice Arena presents annual Halloween Skate on Sunday. The skate is from
3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the BGSU Ice Arena located on 417 N. Mercer Road.
Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume, skate with your friends and family, and adventure
through the Haunted Trail. General Admission is $4, and skate rentals are $2, but anyone who comes in
costume is admitted free.
There will also be cornhole, a pumpkin sale, a costume contest, and candy handouts.
Zoo celebrates Halloween
TOLEDO – Two children’s events return to the Toledo Zoo this month to celebrate Halloween.
Little Boo at the Zoo takes place Thursday and Friday, while Pumpkin Path will be Saturday and Sunday.
Both offer family-friendly trick-or-treat activities.
Pumpkin Path features trick-or-treat stations throughout the zoo and the Fisher-Price Play Area, plus
games and interactive activities.
Little Boo offers the fun of Pumpkin Path on a smaller scale, with trick-or-treating and games.
For zoo members, tickets for one day’s admission to Pumpkin Path and Little Boo are $5 for children (and
adults who trick or treat at Pumpkin Path). Tickets for non-members are $11 for adults and children and
$8 for seniors. Discount coupons for non-members are available at Meijer stores.
Share a Halloween story
FOSTORIA – The Kaubisch Memorial Public Library will hold a Halloween-themed family storytime on Monday
at 6:30 p.m.
The whole family is invited to share a program of science, stories, activities and humor. Children are
encouraged to come dressed in costume. No registration is required.
