"So You Want To Be a Star," a free lecture for aspiring dancers, singers and actors and their
parents, will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Perrysburg Academy of the Performing Arts.
A similar lecture is scheduled for Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. at Julie’s Dance Studio at the Woodland Mall.
Peter Sklar will talk about why an arts career is about two things: self image and health.
His list of clients includes Sara Jessica Parker, Reese Witherspoon and Mischa Barton. He has a master’s
degree from Harvard University and four decades of experience.
He’s currently developing an original musical based on his experiences called "The Kid Who Played
the Palace."
