Delman E. Bisher, 81, of Liberty Center, passed away October 18, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee,
surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 16, 1928 in Liberty Center to the late Charles and Mary (Kiger) Bisher. He married
Ila M. Baightel on July 19, 1948 in Angola, Indiana and she survives.
Also surviving are his children, Marilee Walter, Grand Rapids, Sherry (Stephen) Murphy, Weston, and
Stephen (Patti) Bisher, Liberty Center; son-in-law, Tom Walter, Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Jessica and
Ben Walter, Angela Coleman, Amy and Abby Murphy, Branden and Nicole Bisher; great-grandchildren, Kylee,
Landon and Riley; and his Chihuahua, Susie.
Brother, Orville "Sam" Bisher, and sister, Susie Beroske, also preceded him in death.
Delman was a lifelong Henry County farmer and was employed with Chevron Chemical, Maumee, for 25 years.

A 1946 graduate of Grand Rapids High School, he was a 52-year member of the Grand Rapids Township Fire
Department. Delman was also a former member of the Elevator Board and Historical Society, Grand Rapids.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards, and will be remembered for being a hard-working, kind, and
generous family man.
Visitation is Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Wright-Hobbs Funeral Home, Grand Rapids, with last
alarm services at 8:30 p.m. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with burial to
follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Josh Heyman Benefit Fund or Calvary United Methodist Church, Grand Rapids.
