Several programs geared toward children are planned this fall at the Wood County Park District’s
facilities.
Make a scarecrow for the upcoming Folklore and Funfest Tuesday at the Wood County Historical Center from
6 to 7 p.m. Bring the clothes and the backbone and they’ll provide the rest.
The scarecrows will be on display through Oct. 19 in Scarecrow Alley.
Learn turkey talk and make a craft at a Nov. 14 program from 10 to 11 a.m. at William Henry Harrision
Park in Pemberville.
Go “back to school” at the Zimmerman one-room school for old-fashioned fun Dec. 5 from 1 to 2 p.m. Make
old-time gifts, play Victorian games, and take a lesson from the school mistress.
