MAUMEE — The Toledo Area Humane Society is offering an opportunity for younger animal lovers to learn
more about their best friends.
The All About Animals Club is designed for children 9 to 12 years old and meets once a month from October
to March.
Classes are Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon beginning this weekend.
This morning program, held at the Toledo Area Humane Society, offers classes that will help children
learn about the different dog breeds, teach basic dog training and give hands on instruction about dog
bathing and grooming.
Feline fanciers will enjoy learning about identifying a cat’s body language and care for their kitty
companions.
Children will also be given the opportunity to meet with guest speakers from the Northwest Exotic Bird
Sanctuary and the Toledo Zoo.
Cost of the class $90 per child.
