Fall festival planned

TOLEDO – The Toledo Botanical Gardens will hold its fall festival on Oct. 11 from noon to 4 p.m.
Located at 5403 Elmer Drive, Toledo, the event will feature a scarecrow contest, plant sale, art
activities for children, live entertainment and horse-drawn hayrides.
Organizers are looking for entries to the scarecrow contest, open to groups or individuals.
Judges and festival attendees will vote for their favorite scarecrow during the festival. Entry is open
to everyone and there is no fee to enter.
As part of the festival the plant sale will offer a wide variety of perennials including Oak Openings
native plants. The sale will be held Oct. 10, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and during the festival.
