TOLEDO -Between Day of Honor, Grandparents Day and I Do at the Zoo, Sunday, Sept. 13 is shaping up to be
one wild day at The Toledo Zoo.
Grandparents Day gives all the nanas and poppas a chance to get in some extra spoiling time as they
receive free admission when they bring their grandchildren to the zoo.
There will also be crafts and activities and lots of opportunities for intergenerational fun.
Day of Honor is the zoo’s way of paying tribute to the men and women who keep us safe all year.
In addition to offering free admission for all police officers, firefighters, EMTs and military personnel
when they show their professional ID, the zoo will give visitors an opportunity to get up close to a
real fire truck, ambulance and police cruiser.
There will be crafts and activities.
The zoo will also host I Do at the Zoo, a bridal fair from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
