Celebrating 60 years of conservation

The 60th annual meeting and banquet of the Wood Soil & Water Conservation District will be held
on Sept. 10 at Nazareth Hall in Grand Rapids.
Entertainment will be provided by the Otsego Show Choir.
The meal will begin at 6:30 p.m.
In addition the SWCD Outstanding Cooperator, Friend of the District, CREP Achievement, and Farm
Beautification awards will be presented.
The John Hirzel Memorial Scholarship winner will be announced.
An election of supervisors will be held, with one supervisor to be elected. Candidates include Dale
Brown, James Eckel and Kristopher Swartz.
Voting will be from 5:15 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. at the banquet or by absentee ballot in the office which is
located at 1616 East Wooster St., Suite 32, Bowling Green.
Tickets for the banquet are $10 each and are pre-sale only.
The deadline for ticket sales is Sept. 2.
