Expanded pari-mutuel wagering at Fair
There is a new company running the pari-mutuel wagering at the Wood County Fair this year.
In addition to the standard win, place, show, quinella and perfecta betting, there will be the
opportunity to bet trifectas, superperfectas and a late daily double.
There are 11 races today with post time at 1 p.m. and 10 races Wednesday with post time at 6:30 p.m.
Reimold goes 1-for-4
DETROIT – Former Bowling Green State University standout Nolan Reimold went 1-for-4 with a single in
Baltimore’s 6-5 loss to Detroit Monday.
Reimold, batting second for the Orioles, struck out twice in the game. He is batting .281 on the season.

BG flag football league signup
Open registration is underway for Bowling Green flag football for students in grades 3-6 in the BG school
district.

BG tennis tourney set
The Bowling Green Community Tennis Association will be holding the city championships Aug. 13-16 at
BGSU’s Keefe Courts.
There will be singles, doubles, and mixed doubles events.

Rossford plans 35-and-over basketball league
ROSSFORD – The Rossford Community Recreation Center is now accepting registration for an 35-and-over
men’s basketball league. The league will play on Sundays from Aug. 23-Oct. 11. A post-season tournament
is also planned.
The fee is $250 per team and a $25 referee fee. The deadline for registration is Aug. 14.
A mandatory captains meeting is Aug. 18 a the RCRC at 7 p.m.
