Otsego seeks youth cheerleaders
The Otsego youth tackle football teams are looking for third- through sixth-graders who are interested in
cheerleading.
The games are held on Sundays between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at various football fields in the area. The cost
of the program is $60, which includes a uniform that can be kept at the end of the season.
There will be a registration held on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Grand Rapids Elementary School
gymnasium. If you are unable to attend the registration or have any questions, e-mail

Rossford enrols new students
ROSSFORD – Rossford Schools is now taking appointments for new student enrollment for grades 1-12. Call
(419) 662-3051 to schedule an appointment.
Registration packets are available on the district Web site, www.rossfordschools.org, or at the Student
Services Office, 721 Dixie Highway.
New kindergarten students will be screened on Monday at the time of registration.
Eastwood sets special meeting
PEMBERVILLE – The Eastwood Board of Education will hold a special meeting Friday at 7 a.m. in the
administrative offices.
Northwood offers bus ride, kindergarten visitation
NORTHWOOD – On Aug. 13, each student currently registered to begin kindergarten will be able to ride the
bus to Lark Elementary to meet his or her bus drivers and teachers.
The school bus will pick up each child and a parent(s) at their assigned bus stop between 8 and 8:30 that
morning. The bus will take the new student and their parent to Lark where they will meet their teacher,
visit the classroom and hear a short presentation about kindergarten. Students will receive a snack as
well as a packet of information. After the presentation, the students and their parents will ride the
bus back to their assigned bus stop near their home.
This event will last about an hour and should help the newest students feel more comfortable about
starting school on Aug.19. Parents will receive a postcard in the mail with the bus information before
the Aug. 13.
