Conference title.
The Chippewas return 18 starters and are the runaway choice to win the title game in a media poll
released Friday.
Rival Western Michigan was picked to finish second in the West division.
Buffalo, the upset winner of last season’s championship game, is the favorite in the conference’s East
division.
Five MAC teams earned bowl bids a year ago.
