Fair voting membership sales end soon
Those people interested in purchasing a fair voting membership for this year’s Wood County Fair must do
so by Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the fair’s office in the Administration Building at the Wood County
Fairgrounds.
The passes will no longer be sold after that deadline.
Farmer’s Union to meet
There will be a Wood County Farmer’s Union breakfast held at Bob Evans Restaurant at 8 a.m. Monday.
All area farmers are invited to attend.
Fair election petitions due
Those individuals seeking to run for one of the open seats on the Wood County Agricultural Society,
better known as the Senior Fair Board, must return their completed petitions to the fair office by Aug.
3 at 4:30 p.m.
Nine seats are up for election this year including eight different township seats and one
director-at-large position.
The open seats are currently held by Garry Aller, director-at-large; Glenn Bechstein, Plain; Dale Brown,
Center; Roger Swope, Henry; Krysteena Brown, Weston; Rod Lucas, Liberty; David Nietz, Lake; Jobe
McMillin, Perrysburg; and Michael Trout, Bloom.
