Mud Hens score 18 runs

TOLEDO – Toledo exploded for 10 runs in the third inning on the way to an 18-1 win over Syracuse in
International League play Thursday. The Mud Hens are 45-52 in the IL West.
In the third inning Toledo had 10 hits, including three home runs and a double, and set numerous
offensive records in the game.
Brent Clevlen hit three home runs for the Mud Hens while Will Rhymes, Jeff Frazier and Max St. Pierre
each added a homer. Frazier finished with six RBI. Frazier and Don Kelly each finished with four hits
and four others had three hits, including Carlos Guillen. The Mud Hens finished with 24 hits.
Chris Lambert was Toledo’s starting pitcher, going eight innings and allowing seven hits and one earned
run with no walks and six strikeouts.
