TOLEDO – Toledo was shut out in both games of a doubleheader with Buffalo Saturday, but responded with a
5-3 win against the Bison on Sunday. Both games Saturday were seven-inning games. The Mud Hens are 43-50
in the International League, 91/2 games back of Louisville in the West Division.
Toledo had a total of nine hits in the two games Saturday, losing Game 1, 1-0, and Game 2, 2-0.
In Sunday’s game Toledo scored three times in the third inning en route to the win, with Jeff Larish
going 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to lead the way. Brent Dlugach went 3-for-4 with a double for the
‘Hens. Toledo starting pitcher Eddie Bonine went eight innings, allowing two earned runs on seven hits
to pick up the win.
