To The Editor:
I want to take this opportunity to offer sincere thanks to all of those involved with the baseball aspect
of our summer recreation program. From the coach-pitch to the Junior League (we had grandchildren
involved) I was impressed with the consideration shown the youngsters whether they made a hit or an
error. The coaches I found were always quick to slap a hand rather than offer a criticism for a misplay.
For the emphasis to be on support and encouragement is significant and meaningful in these young careers.
The youngsters seem to enjoy what they are doing and that is critical to understanding what their
coaches teach.
Bowling Green citizens can be proud and supportive of a program that emphasizes all the correct aspects
and our family offers congratulations to those responsible.
