Tracy doesn’t advance in AAA derby
PORTLAND, Ore. – Former Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green State University standout Andy Tracy
failed to advance from the first round of the Class AAA All-Star Home Run Derby Monday at PGE Park.
Tracy, one of six competitors in the derby, hit five homers in the first round to tie with two other
competitors.
However, Tracy’s 15 regular-season homers were not enough to overcome a tiebreaker with
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s Shelley Duncan (21 regular-season home runs) and Salt Lake’s Terry Evans (17)
who also hit five homers in the first round, so Tracy did not advance.
Portland’s Chad Huffman took the title, hitting a total of 15 homers.Tracy doesn’t advance in AAA derby
