Bump strong for Toledo

TOLEDO – Nate Bump had a second straight strong start for Toledo as the Mud Hens downed Indianapolis, 4-2
in International League play on Sunday. Toledo is second in the IL West at 41-48 heading into the
all-star break.
Bump pitched 71/3 scoreless innings allowing six hits and no walks while striking out two. Of his 99
pitches, 65 were for strikes.
For Toledo, Brent Dlugach, Dane Sardinha and Will Rhymes each hit an RBI double in the game. Rhymes and
Dlugach each finished with two hits.
On Saturday, Toledo split a doubleheader with Indianapolis, losing the opener 7-3 and taking the nightcap
7-2. Both games were seven innings
In the first game, Jeff Frazier was 3-for-3 for Toledo and Dan Kelly was 2-for-3. The Indians broke the
game open with a four-run fifth inning off Ruddy Lugo.
In the second game, Scot Drucker struck out seven for Toledo, going 62/3 innings. He allowed four hits,
three walks and two earned runs.
Brent Clevlen each hit a three-run home run for Toledo and Ramirez added a solo shot. Ramirez, Ryan
Roberson and Mike Hessman each had two hits.
