Creativity is focus at library Monday
Families, practice your creativity at the Wood County District Public Library Children’s Place on Monday
with poetry reading, puppets and book-making.
Drop in between 2 and 4 p.m. to make a "Poetry Pocket-book," write poems of your own, and put
on a puppet show to act out favorite rhymes and stories. There will be reading, rhymes and rhythm as
part of the 2009 "Be Creative @ Your Library" Summer Reading Program.
Parents and caregivers will also receive tips collected from celebrated children’s poet, Jack Prelutsky,
on sharing poems at home with the very young. According to Prelutsky, "these are the early building
blocks to a lifetime of reading and special memories that your child will remember forever."
