Harold and Betty (Haas) Bateson will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a family picnic hosted
by their children.
They were married in Liberty Township on July 14, 1944.
They began farming in 1948 and have been active in various agricultural organizations at local and state
levels. Bateson was Wood County auditor for 23 years.
They are the parents of Thomas, Rudolph; Sally Amos and Mike, both of Portage; and Ann Rutter, Bowling
Green, and the late Cathy Bateson. They have 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.Harold and
