Two arrested for theft at BG school
Two Pemberville men were arrested Saturday night after they were found hiding in some trees at the rear
of Bowling Green’s new middle school on Fairview Avenue.
John Martin Eaton, 47, and Joel D. Slachta, 26, both of North Main Street in Pemberville, were arrested
shortly before midnight by Bowling Green police for criminal trespass and theft. The two men allegedly
had loaded numerous pieces of scrap metal into their truck from the Dumpsters in the construction area.

Twenty minutes earlier, Bowling Green State University police had warned the two men for similar offenses
on campus.
They are scheduled to appear in nunicipal court on Wednesday.
Out of Darkness group meets Wed.
Out of Darkness, a support group for families and friends who have lost a loved one through suicide, will
meet Wednesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Family Services of Wood County, 1616 E. Wooster St.

Daylily gardens open
Once again, Jack Church’s daylily gardens will be open for tours for the month of July through the first
week of August. He has more than 900 daylily cultivars.
