GRAND RAPIDS – The Black Swamp Quilt Guild of Bowling Green is hosting a quilting retreat in October with
three days of quilting.
This retreat is now open to non-members. It will be held at the Widewater Retreat Center just outside the
village on Oct. 16, 17, and 18. The deadline for registration is Aug. 13.
The guild does not "host" a specific quilt for this weekend but has the participants bring the
their own projects they would like to work on or complete.
A free raffle and at least one free demonstration that shows the participants a new technique are just
part of the festivities, along with show and tells, bonus surprises and food.
