The Bowling Green High School graduating class of 1949 held a pig roast and picnic in celebration of its
60th reunion. The event was held June 27 in the backyard of John and Bev Rutter.
With no program planned, the afternoon instead was spent taking pictures, renewing friendships with
former classmates and reminiscing about high school days.
Several scrapbooks from previous reunions were on display.
Classmates overwhelmingly voted to gather again in two years, at the same place, with a potluck picnic on
the last Saturday in June 2011.
Reunion committee members planning and organizing the day were Shirley Buchin Reider, Yvonne Carnicom
Enright, Mary Coller Johnson, Jim Cranker, Irene Farkas Farr, Bev Johnson Rutter, Mary Jane McFall
Williams and June Wood VanVorhis.
