To the Editor: Portage cares about its children

0

This is an open letter to Chris Carpenter from Perrysburg.
I don’t know how you do things in Perrysburg Chris, but in Portage, we care about our children. If the
speed limit is raised in Portage to 45 mph, the traffic will run at least 50-55 mph. As the light won’t
be there to help the kids cross to the school bus stop, or to the church, and there will no police to
enforce the limit, they will be forced to cross Rt. 25 in this traffic.
As for being a speed trap, please tell us how many "undeserving" motorist have gotten tickets
in Portage. You sound like an expert on the subject. Do speeders not get tickets in Perrysburg?
Please do us a favor Chris, stay on I-75, give our children a break.
