Salvation Army has ‘Tools for Schools’
The Salvation Army will hold its annual "Tools for Schools" collection as the need for supplies
has been on the increase.
Donation boxes will be out from Wednesday to Aug. 5 at Kroger, Walgreen’s, Dollar Tree, Big Lots, Ben
Franklin, Staples, Hobby Lobby, Huntington Bank North, and St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, all in Bowling
Green.
The sign-up for backpacks is July 27 to Aug. 7 at the Salvation Army office, 1045 N. Main St. Suite 8.

Library closed Friday, Saturday
Wood County District Public Library in Bowling Green will be closed Friday and Saturday for the
Independence Day holiday.
The library will resume its normal hours Monday.
Thrift store holds half-price sale
NORTH BALTIMORE -The St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store on West State Street will offer a half-price
clothing sale Wednesday.
After Wednesday the store will be closed through July 14.
The store reopens July 15 at 10 a.m.
Volunteers needed for BG car show
Volunteers are still needed for the 8th annual Classics On Main car show on July 11. Volunteers handle
every kind of task from directing cars to selling raffle tickets and counting people’s choice votes.
This downtown Bowling Green tradition is great entertainment for the whole family, and you can join in
the fun by volunteering.

Owens closed for July 4th holiday
Owens Community College Toledo-area and Findlay-area campuses will be closed Thursday-Sunday, July 2-5
for the Independence Day holiday. There will be no classes and the College offices will be closed.
Administrative offices will open again and classes will resume on Monday, July 6.
