PERRYSBURG – William C. Corbin, 85, died Thursday (June 25, 2009) at his home
He worked for various companies as a mechanical sales engineer.
He graduated from Wood River High School and served the Navy as an aircraft carboration instructor while
stationed in Chicago. He continued his education at the University of Illinois. He worked for various
companies as a mechanical sales engineer. He loved to research and read books about religion and enjoyed
writing.
He was born April 30, 1924 in Wood River, Ill., to William and Lenora (Cunningham) Corbin, Sr. He married
Vivian Sorensen on Aug. 17, 1946 in Chicago and she survives.
Also surviving are a son Gregory; a daughter Cheryl Mercurio; six grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg. Burial will be in Fort
Meigs Cemetery. Pastor Timothy P. Philabaum will officiate.
