BG to replace meters in 3 areas next week
The City of Bowling Green is in the process of replacing or upgrading all utility customer meters with
the installation of a two-way automated communications system.
Crews will be working next week in the following areas:
¥ Village of Portage
¥ Colony Lane
¥ Fore Meadows
The new system will allow the city to automatically read electric and water meters using power line
carrier and fiber optic communications. This will eliminate the need to manually read meters each month.
