Haskel Linticum, 87, of Toledo, was sentenced on Tuesday to three years of community control for
attempted gross sexual imposition of a 12-year-old girl.
He is required to register as a tier II sexual offender and must seek and complete sexual offender
treatment.
Wood County Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Pollex also ordered Linticum to have no contact with the
victim in the case.
Neither the prosecution nor the pre-sentence investigation indicated prison was the best option in this
case and the judge agreed.
Linticum was indicted by the grand jury in June of last year on one count of gross sexual imposition.
According to the original indictment, the offense occurred Jan. 5, 2007.
He pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted gross sexual imposition before on March 24.
The amended charge is a fourth degree felony, which could have carried a sentence from six to 18 months
in prison.
