GIBSONBURG – Duane K. Clabaugh, 46 of Gibsonburg, died Monday (June 22, 2009) at Countryside Continuing
Care Center, Fremont.
He was a mechanic.
A graduate of Lakota High School, he also attended Elmwood High School. Mr. Clabaugh enjoyed NASCAR,
putting models together and working on cars.
He was born on Dec. 22, 1962 in Fremont, to Elmer and Sharon (Bateson) Clabaugh.
Surviving are three daughters, Tabitha Clabaugh, London, Ky.; Mary Clabaugh and Erica Trautsch, both of
Gibsonburg; two sons, Anthony Joseph "Joey," also of London, Ky. and Steven Scott, Fort Gay,
W.Va.; his mother and stepfather, Sharon and Paul Cochey, Gibsonburg; a grandfather, Richard Bateson of
Fostoria; a sister, Teresa Leibold, Gibsonburg; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother, Mabel Bateson.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation
Services, Gibsonburg. Maureen Pump will officiate. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery,
Gibsonburg.
Visitation is today from 3 to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 1045 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
