March and Angela Panero were among the students competing at the state level Power of the Pen on May 21
at Wooster College.
Chernykh placed 11th overall.
PJHS teachers Jennifer Casey and Sandy Custer are coaches for the team.
The interscholastic writing tournament has been held since 1986 and is one of Ohio’s largest educational
enhancement programs.
