Richard R. Stoner, 77, of Bowling Green, died Sunday (June 21, 2009) at his home.
Mr. Stoner was director of Operational Planning and Support Services at Bowling Green State University,
retiring in 1987. He also worked at universities in Wisconsin and Kansas.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Bowling Green.
He graduated from Fremont High School in 1950, and after his discharge from the Air Force, he graduated
from Ohio State University.
Born May 14, 1932 in Fremont to Russell and Daitha (Wheeler) Stoner, he married Johnny Beth Bostick, and
she preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Gail Mahaffey, of Chicago, and Julie Stoner, Clarksville, Tenn.; a son, Todd
J., Bowling Green; and six grandchildren.
A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday at 1241 Wren Road, Bowling Green, from 4 to 6 p.m.
