Community garage sales in Bloomdale
BLOOMDALE – The Bloomdale Community Improvement Association is sponsoring the Bloomdale Garage Sale Days.

This year’s sale will be held Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Organizers indicated there will be many bargains available.
In addition to the house garage sales, Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomdale will be having a
rummage sale and the women’s group of the church will be selling food items during the sale for lunch or
a snack. Bloomdale Bar and Grill will also be selling food items.
The association and the community invite everyone to visit the village for some excellent shopping.
Pickle Chase 5K run returns on Saturday
On Saturday, the fourth annual Pickle Chase 5K and Bell Pepper Fun Run in memory of Jodie Stearns will be
held at Elmwood High School. Registration starts at 7 a.m., the 5k Run/Walk starts at 8:30 a.m. and the
Fun Run is scheduled to begin at 9:15 am.
Race day registration for the 5k is $20 with a free T-shirt for the first 300 runners, and $6 for the Fun
Run with a free T-shirt as supplies last. Additional details are available at www.picklechase5k.org or

Elmwood High School is located at 7650 Jerry City Road, Bloomdale.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Jodie Stearns/Tom Waldock Elmwood Scholarship Fund and the
Cocoon Shelter.
Perrysburg selling canoes, sailboats
PERRYSBURG – The city is selling a variety of watercraft, now in surplus after the closing of Three
Meadows Pond.
Items are offered throughout the year as they become available at www.perrysburgauctions.com. Upcoming
items to be sold on the city auction site include canoes, sailboats and paddle boats.
Sheriff appointed to state drug board
Ohio Attorney Gen. Richard Cordray has appointed Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn as a member of the
Ohio Attorney General’s Drug Education Advisory board, formerly the D.A.R.E. Advisory Board.
The board will play a role in helping Cordray evaluate policies and identify ways to ensure the dollars
targeted for drug abuse resistance education are making a positive impact in schools.
