Ethel Irene (Whitney) Leisure, 67, of Moore, S.C., died Thursday (June 18, 2007) in her home.
She retired from Allied Signal in Fostoria, and BIC Corporation in Duncan, S.C.
Mrs. Leisure was a member of Reidville Road United Methodist Church.
Her hobbies included golf, Bunco, camping, boating and visiting yard sales and flea markets.
Born Nov. 15, 1941 in Weston to Robert Earl and Cora Iona Whitney, she is survived by her husband of 28
years, Kenneth Eugene Leisure.
Also surviving are three daughters, Brenda Wertz, Spartanburg, S.C.; Laura Williams, Durham, N.C.; and
Lucinda Leisure, Fostoria; two sons, Rodney, Prosper, Texas, and Thomas, of Fostoria; four sisters,
Phyllis Morelan, Waterville; and Carol McKenzie, Joanne McKenzie and Robin Whitney, all of Weston; 15
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Weston Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday
from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mann-Hare-Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Relay For Life-Jivewalkers, Spartanburg
& Cherokee County Cancer Association, or Interim Hospice. Memorials may be sent in care of the
funeral home, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.
