Dick and Mary Marten, Bowling Green, announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie, to Thomas Downie,
son of Don and Paula Downie, Bowling Green.
The bride-to-be graduated from Owens Community College with an associate degree in early childhood
education and is currently pursuing a degree in communications disorders from Bowling Green State
University.
Her fiancée is a 2007 graduate of BGSU with bachelor’s degree in architectural and environmental design
and is employed by Thomas Dubose & Associates, Toledo, as a project designer.
An Aug. 1 wedding is planned at Prout Chapel on the BGSU campus.
