Maumee ‘Welcome to Medicare’ event is for those turning 65

The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP), a division of the Ohio Department of
Insurance, is holding "Welcome to Medicare" events at locations around the state now through
July.
The aim is to help persons turning 65 years old to learn about Medicare, says department director Mary Jo
Hudson.
The only Welcome to Medicare session planned in northwest Ohio will be held next Thursday, June 25 at the
auditorium of St. Luke’s Hospital, 5901 Monclova Road, Maumee.
It will feature experts from OSHIIP, te Social Security Administration, Area Agency on Aging and others.
Information will be available on coverage costs, enrollment matters, patient rights, preventative
servies and more.
