Diabetes education class offered
FOSTORIA – Fostoria Community Hospital’s diabetes education department will offer a class on July 1 and 2
from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. or July 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., all in the hospital’s Conference Center,
on the hospital’s lower level, entrance 2. A physician referral is required.

Toledo fireworks will be July 4
TOLEDO – Fireworks are scheduled for July 4, beginning at 9:45 p.m., over the Maumee River in downtown
Toledo.
There is a $2 per person entry fee to attend activities at Promenade Park, beginning at 4 p.m. Those who
come before 4, and those who bring a canned good to donate to charity, will be admitted free.
The activities begin on July 3, starting at noon, with Toledo Tent’s Taste Toledo, featuring food from
more than 20 restaurants. A variety of bands will perform both days.
Glass show June 27-28 at Tiffin
TIFFIN – The Tiffin Glass Collectors Club will host its 24th annual Glass Show and Sale on June 27-28 at
the Seneca County School of Opportunity, 780 East County Road 20, Tiffin. Glass dealers from several
states will join local and area dealers at the show that attracts collectors from all over the United
States.
The fine tableware and decorative ware that was produced at the Tiffin factory from 1892 to 1980 will be
offered for sale along with other quality glassware. The show and sale hours are June 27, from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m., and June 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The $3 admission is good for both days and children are
admitted free.
The club sales booth will offer a limited edition logo produced by Mosser Glass Company, Cambridge, Ohio.

Other activities include glass blowing and cutting demonstrations at Crystal Tradition, 145 Madison St.,
Tiffin, on both days. The Tiffin Art Guild, 207 S. Washington St. will hold an open house with various
artists in attendance.
