Girl injured in ATV rollover
MILLBURY – A 9-year-old girl was sent to the hospital Wednesday after her three-wheel vehicle flipped and
briefly fell on top of her.
According to Lake Township Police, officers were dispatched to a Genoa Road address in response to an
accident involving an all-terrain cycle near Ohio 163 in the southern part of the township. Chief Mark
Hummer said this morning that the girl had been driving around her yard when the vehicle overturned and
pinned her to the ground for a short period of time. Her mother removed the vehicle and contacted police
regarding the incident.
She was transported to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo with complaints of finger and head
injuries.
Survivor Week for BGSU camp
The week of June 22-26 will be Survivor Week for the Bowling Green State University Recreational Sports
Summer Camp.
Campers will travel to Wintergarden Park/Nature Preserve and will also have a visit from Bowling Green
firefighters to talk about safety.
There will be swimming, rock climbing, ice skating, scavenger hunts, camp games and art projects.

Library offers puppet-making
Be creative at your library and discover what you can make with an old sock, paper tube, paper towels,
masking tape, newspaper, felt, and fabric. The result is a "Maggie Duff" puppet.
Kids ages 8 and up are invited to the Children’s Place at the Wood County District Public Library Friday,
10:30 a.m. to noon. Kathy East will be leading this creative puppet-making workshop.
Earth Day event held at Town Center
PERRYSBURG – The Wood County Solid Waste District is working with the Town Center at Levis Commons to put
on an "Earth Day Every Day Fair" this Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.
Those attending will learn how you can reduce their footprint on the Earth from local organizations and
businesses.
They also will be able to enjoy music from Wilson Lake and the Rock Bass from 2 to 4 p.m. near the
fountain.
Plain Township reschedules meeting
Plain Township Trustees have changed their next meeting date to June 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the township
building on Poe Road.
