To the Editor: Portage should comply with the code

0

Poor people of Portage. You being upset that your community is not within the ODOT criteria for a traffic
light does not surprise me.
That light has been used to stop traffic long enough for your police force to run plates and find big
crime things like license plate lights being out – a fact that cost me a hefty fine.
The truth is, when you comply with the code and remove the stop light and get the proper speed limits in
your community, ODOT can fix that part of Route 25 that has been destroyed by traffic forced to stop in
your speed trap, and it will be less of a trip hazard for the handful of citizens that walk to the post
office.
