LUCKEY – Robert F. Grabenstetter, 82, of Luckey, died Thursday (June 11, 2009) at St. Charles Mercy
Hospital, Oregon.
A Navy veteran, he served during World War II.
He was active in his family business, Grabenstetter and Sons, a Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge dealership.
He worked both as a co-owner and mechanic retiring in August 1986.
Mr. Grabenstetter enjoyed boating, go carts, gardening, and fishing. He also enjoyed flying remote
control planes and was a member of RC Weak Signals Club.
Born Dec. 30, 1926 in Lemoyne, to Frank and Pearl (Stoll) Grabenstetter, he married Virginia (Mann)
Bernard on Oct. 12, 1972 in Toledo. She died June 24, 2003. He then married Florence (Conley) Caudill on
April 26, 2004 in Albuquerque, N.M., and she survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Diana Sengstock of Hale, Mich., and Linda Vermilyea and Roberta
Hogan, both of Albuquerque, N.M.; five stepsons, Philip Bernard, Toledo; Larry Caudill of St. Clair
Shores, Mich.; Lonnie Caudill, Fostoria; Loren Caudill, Bowling Green; and Darrell Caudill of
Perrysburg; three stepdaughters, Sandy Caudill, Pemberville; Tami Caudill of Perrysburg; and Angie
Brown, Bowling Green; a brother, Howard of Woodville; a sister, Rita Tucker, Millbury; six
grandchildren; 14 stepgrandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and a
great-great-grandson.
He also was preceded in death by a stepson, Charlie Caudill, and a brother, Edward.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Marsh Funeral Home, Woodville. Rev. James Budke will
officiate. Burial will be in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville.
Visitation is Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
