Luncheon set on farm management

The Northern Ohio Farm Management luncheon will be held June 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ole Zim’s
Wagon Shed, Gibsonburg.
The agenda for the luncheon program includes an "A.C.R.E.S. Overview" presented by Todd Warner,
Farm Service Agency Sandusky County director; "FSA Program updates and Conservation Practices"
presented by Jodi Bolens, Farm Service Agency Ottawa County director; and "Grain Marketing
Outlook" presented by Barb Kunkle, grain procurement manager ADM Grain Company.
Organizers suggest now that all the details are out about the A.C.R.E. program it might be an excellent
time to review your options before the deadline for sign-up. As input cost increase it is also a good
time to review some of the conservation programs that are available that may benefit your farming
operation.
Organizers also suggest most operations could use some additional information on the grain markets. The
idea is while a farmer is out harvesting wheat they will have time to think over these important topics
and continue to develop their marketing and management program.
The cost of the program is $15 and includes lunch and all hand-out material.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling (419) 334-6340 or by e-mailing [email protected].
Deadline for reservations is June 25. Payment can be made at the door.
