Work day Sunday for community gardens

0

According to Landon Evans, coordinator of the local community gardens located at Peace Lutheran and First
United Methodist churches, there will be a work day Sunday beginning at noon at the Peace site.
Scheduled work includes weeding, transplanting and planting herbs. The crew will then migrate to the FUM
site for some general cleaning, watering and perhaps more planting.
He added there are still open areas for people to plant their own vegetables; however that needs to be
done through him. If someone plants their own, it is expected they would share at harvest time.
