No charges filed against BGSU officer
There is no evidence that alcohol was served to anyone under the age of 21 at a party hosted by a Bowling
Green State University police officer.
City Prosecutor Matt Reger issued his report this morning, after reviewing what he called the in-depth
investigation conducted by the city police division.
"Nobody saw any alcohol being placed in the drinks of anyone underage," he said about the April
24 potluck party held at the Bowling Green home of the university officer. Additionally, no one observed
anyone under 21 consuming alcohol, and none of the students at the party who were interviewed said they
consumed alcohol.
"None of the statements relative to events at the party provides any evidence that alcohol was
served to anyone under the age of 21, or that the officer knowingly provided a place for underage
consumption," his report stated.
